9 February 2011 - "I hate the Dentist."

Today was a long, exhausting day for me. I woke up at 8AM and proceeded to get ready for my dentist appointment. About two minutes into me getting Bailey's diaper bag together...She woke up. I was hoping I'd have more time to get her stuff ready. So, I fed her and put her in her Bumbo chair and finished getting dressed. I brushed my teeth and put my hair up and got the rest of what Bailey would need in her diaper bag. Around 10 o'clock I started the car, loaded all of her stuff and my purse in there, then put her in there and started off toward Gate 10. I got all the way there..... Then I had a weird feeling. So I checked my purse and I didn't have my wallet. At this point it was already 10:20 and it takes 20 minutes to get to Cathey's and my appointment was at 10:50. You do the math. So, I turned around and was trying not to speed since it's kinda snowy and people don't know how to drive in snow. I got to my house, ran in, and got back to Gate 10. I called the dentist just to let them know I might be late, and she said that's okay. I was kind of hoping they'd want to reschedule me. I was on LaFayette Road (at this point the roads were clear) so I was following kinda close to a small vehicle.... And this truck next to me was racing? Apparently.... There was about a foot in between me and the vehicle in front of me and the guy seriously cut me off. He was Airborne, according to his license plate and all the airborne stickers on his car, so he probably thought he was tough shit. I ended up going around him, honking my horn and flipping him off. Asshole. I got to Cathey's, dropped her off and went to the Dentist. I had no idea where they were, and Lee didn't save the address, but I kind of thought I knew where they were. Which I did. They were across from Patriots Park. I almost missed the driveway through, because some guy was driving up my ass. I went in, did my paperwork then they called me back right away. She did my x-rays and then I sat in the chair for more x-rays. I was honestly so nervous everytime she'd put a piece that she needed for the x-rays in my mouth, I'd gag. I was apologizing and I was pretty embarrassed but I couldn't help it. She took the measurements of my mouth, and then she got the "doctor." He came in and asked me if I was nervous. Haha. I must have been acting weird or something but I was extremely nervous. He told me all the work that I needed to get done and I'm not too thrilled. I hate going to the dentist...  Our wallet won't be thrilled either. Our insurance is actually paying for a lot, but we've got co-payments. Joy. Well, anyways. I was trying to get back onto Fort Campbell Blvd but I noticed the other side was already stopped, because the snow was coming down so hard. So, I decided to go back on post and go back off post. I figured it would be quicker. (Which it was. Fort Campbell Blvd was LITERALLY completely stopped.) So I went into Gate 3 and back out Gate 10. It wasn't too bad. I started fishtailing when I was going out of Gate 10, which was pretty scary because of the walls going out of the gate. I got to Cathey's and sat there for a little while. Bailey looked exhausted, so we left. I'm glad my appointment was, when it was. Because the snow was coming down HARD. I finally got to housing and noticed someone built a snowman by the street. I couldn't tell for sure, but it looked like he had a boonie on or a straw hat. I thought it was funny. I wish I could build a snowman with Derek. Bailey and I came home and she was asleep. I relaxed for a little while before I moved her into her crib. I got an hour nap before she woke up and I was still pretty tired, so I put her in her bouncer and took another little nap. Since then we've been watching cartoons and hanging out. In about half an hour it's time for her bath, bottle and bed. Same as every night. I doubt I'm going to go sleep early tonight since I got a two hour nap. Just a random statement, it's really hard to type a blog while you're singing the ABCs... I am singing them for Bailey right now.
Daddy definitely loves her.

The snowman. You can barely see his hat.
