NObama.

I let too much time go in between my blogs. I'm trying to be more consistent with this but it's not easy being lazy.

Today was decent. I woke up at the same time I do, these days. Bailey slept a little longer than I expected her to. Derek was going to get a half-day and get off at noon, but instead he got to go sit in a hanger and listen to President Obama's speech. So yeah. My husband was chosen as one of 2,000 Soldiers to see Obama in person. I'm not a big fan of the guy, but it's pretty cool getting to meet someone that important.

Bailey and I spent some time with Holly. She came over and I made her lunch, then we watched the news. We were "looking for Derek." She kept saying "There he is" but it wasn't even him. It was just someone in their uniform. She's weird. I'm going to be sad to leave when it's time for us to move......... Anyways... Holly decided to go so she could make it to the bank in time. Bailey and I went outside and soaked up some sun. It was such a nice day today. Bailey loves being outside now.

Derek got home a little while later. We decided to go to the mall so that "Bailey" could pick out my Mother's Day gift. I'm really excited to see what my loves got for me. While they were doing that, I was walking around the mall aimlessly. I walked around Old Navy 1103492089 times, then walked through Victoria's Secret, and then to a little hairbow stand. There were a bunch of cute bows and tutus. I wish I could make things like that. Derek called my phone and we met back up. He said Bailey picked something, so we left.

We were both STARVING. We got home and Derek made his Good Burgers. They were, indeed, very good. I like when my husband cooks for me, on occasion. (I prefer cooking for him... It's my job.) We got the baby to sleep, and since we finished dinner, we've been relaxing on the couch.

  1. I know you are probably getting tired of me saying this but I check this blog twice a day and then cry when I see Bailey, Or Mommy & Daddy. You will never know how much I miss all 4 of you. I wish we had money to fly back but Grandpa has not won the lottery yet, but you will be one of the 1st 5 to know lol because we would give you enough for a house and another car. And like your Dad said if anybody from the family could win it would be Grandpa. He has not bought tickets in a few weeks, just when the jackpot is up there over 20 million lol. I love your pictures and that is great Derek got to shake hands with the VP & Pres. not to many get to do that with both at the same time,But Derek is special and Grandma loves all 4 of you, G/M
