Happy Memorial Day.


Derek didn't have to work today, of course. It was the final day to our four day weekend. He goes back to work tomorrow. It's been a nice weekend with him. We went to another playground today. Bailey swung on a swing for the first time. She loved it. We took Bowtie out with us again. She loves being outside. We prepared ourselves early this year and bought spray for mosquitoes. It's DEET free, so Bailey can even use it. Thankfully. She gets eaten up by them.

We came home and did the usual stuff. We just sat around. Derek and I played a video game for a long time. We did better this time than the last time we played it. Army of Two is a good game. So far. Its "easy" mode is freakin' difficult. Around 7 or so we woke Bailey up from her nap, fed her and then we made our dinner and sat down to watch Raw. Soon we will be going to bed.

Bailey's 1st day at the park

Yesterday Derek and I went to the park with Bailey. It was her first time going to the park and we had a lot of fun. Bowtie enjoyed being outside with us. There were some creepy in-bred children there who kept watching/following us. I thought for sure they were going to take Bowtie. One of them kept touching her even though I kept saying "Don't pet my dog." Their Mom was sitting at a picnic table ignoring them. Figures. We spent our night watching House of 1,000 Corpses. I liked it.

Today was a slightly more relaxed day. We sat around most of the day, then went outside and played in the yard. Bailey loved being in the grass. I'm glad she'll get to grow up around grass and greenery. I grew up in a desert so I only saw dirt and Joshua Trees. Afterwards, we went to WalMart and got a few things for dinner. Holly came over and we watched The Devil's Rejects. Another good movie. We finished our yummy dinner then Holly went home. Derek and I cleaned up the kitchen and put our trash on the curb. Now he is playing his Xbox and I'm here on the computer. I still haven't done his paper. *Sigh* I have some heavy reading to do. Like 200 more pages of heavy reading, plus a paper in APA format.

Lazy Day...

Derek and I didn't get out of our pajamas until 3pm today. He felt gross for being in his PJs all day. And that makes me laugh. When we finally got ready and got Bailey ready, we went to Clothing and Sales to get Derek a bunch of stuff for his uniform. It sucked. Then we went to a sewing shop to get him some name plates and the 1st place didn't have them. We almost got hit in the parking lot by some black guy just cruzin' through the damn spots. Then we went to another place and they had them, but Derek can't get them until Tuesday.

We also got a letter from GM saying that our Cruze was recalled and we'd had to take it into a dealer to get repaired. Lame sauce. We will be doing that on Tuesday. I also made our big girl her 9 month check up for next month. Thankfully, she will not be getting any shots. Just a check up. 

Then we went to Wal Mart and got things for our Awesome Nachos tonight. We went home and put Bailey down for a nap. Around 7 we made dinner and it was delish. At 8:30 I realized Bailey was still asleep. So we woke her up, fed her, gave her a bath and put her back in bed. It was a success. Since then I've been doing nothing. Derek's been playing video games. We've also been watching videos on YouTube. It's been a good night.

Four Day Weekend

Thursday was Derek's last day of work for the week. Since it's Memorial Weekend he gets a four day. It's going to be fun. Yesterday when he came home, we got ready and took Bailey to Holly's so we could have a date night. We went to Chili's. We haven't had it in forever. It was a nice to have a dinner and not having to rush if Bailey gets cranky. Derek and I missed Bailey, but we knew she was having fun at Holly's. Holly sent me a text saying Bailey was chasing her cat. When we finished dinner, we went to Hobby Lobby to get a few things for Bailey's sock puppets. Then we went back to Holly's. She almost had Bailey asleep. We went back on post and were going to go to the Class Six. But they were closed. So we went to a gas station and got Smirnoff. Bailey was asleep, so we changed her diaper and put her in bed. Derek turned on "How I Met Your Mother" and we drank. After three bottles I felt buzzed so I decided I was done. We ended up going to bed afterwards because I was really tired.

Yesterday was a really good day. Holly and I finally figured out our schedules and were able to hang out. Bailey missed seeing Holly!! We went to Wal Mart together and got some things then we went back on post and went to Smoothie King. It was the first time in forever since I had a smoothie. It was delish. Then we came back here and just talked a lot. Derek came home from work, and we were going to make sure Holly got off post ok and as we were backing out, we waved to my neighbors daughter (it wasn't meant in a nice way. But it could have totally come across as being nice.) When we got home and settled back in, around 7 or so, my doorbell rang. Apparantly that little bitch lied to her Mom saying Holly called her a "B." I thought it was pretty funny how that little pickaninny lied. Also slightly irritating. I wish I would have let Derek answer the door. He would not have been so nice. Anyways. The rest of the night we were under storm warning. We got flashlights and stuff together then went to bed because the storm was supposed to pass us after 10:18.

Derek woke up to go to PT this morning and hasn't been back yet. So when he gets home he'll have to end up rushing before going back to work. I need to read his book today. I say that everyday then I don't read very much of it. But I have to write that paper within the next few days so it's time to put my game face on. I have a picture of Bailey but didn't take it off of my camera yet. But I'll post it later. 

Non-Productive

Today was compltely non-productive. I just wanted to lay in bed all day and do nothing. Instead, I did laundry and put the Wii back in my bedroom. Bailey was laying in my bed so I turned on Nextflix for her. She was watching Blue's Clues and Wonder Pets for a while. Then she got really cranky. She's been kinda cranky all day. It made me feel bad for her.

When Derek got home, she stopped crying, of course. So I made dinner -- Turkey tacos and mexican rice. The rice was really good this time. I usually burn it but I didn't tonight. I was proud of my accomplishment. Tosh.0 is on TV tonight so that's what we're watching.

I've been slacking on pictures again. :( 

Updated it finally!

I haven't updated my blog in about 5 days or so, but since the last time I updated it, nothing much has happened. Derek and I had another great weekend together. We didn't do much, but we always have fun just sitting at home. He has a four day this weekend so I'm really excited about that.

Tonight we had a storm warning. Derek made Bailey and I sit in the bathtub. Then I realized there was still comet in it from when I scrubbed it this morning. So I had to clean it out. We put a bunch of towels in the tub.

Derek wants me to do his college work for him. He has to read a book about "The Psychology of Harry Potter" and he doesn't know what "Muggles" are and stuff. So I'm doing it for him. He's lucky he has a wife like me. I love him a lot so I don't mind doing this for him. Plus I guess it'll give me something to do.

I've been playing The Sims 3 a lot lately. I go through these phases. I'll play it insanely then won't touch it again for a really long time. But I really want the new expansion pack. I think. I am not really too sure to be honest.

Derek and I have been watching Monday Night Raw for about 30 minutes now, and we ate the icecream that was in our freezer. Tonight shall be a good night.

Stupid Soup..

Today was another uneventful day. I'm getting kind of tired of being home all week long. Oh well. I worked out again. 3rd day in a row, for 30 minutes today. I'm glad I've kept my motivation. Bailey was cranky. She took more naps than usual, but none of them lasted longer than 10 minutes. One lasted almost an hour. She went to bed around 7:30.

I made slow cooker tortilla soup tonight. And I'm never making it again. I didn't like it and Derek doesn't like soup. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy...

I worked out today. I got 32 minutes in on the elliptical. It was a huge accomplishment for me. Yesterday I did 23 minutes on the elliptical. So I'm really proud of that. A few days ago, Derek bought Bailey a "Jumperoo" from Amazon. We have been waiting for it to get here for two days and it finally arrived right before Derek got home from work!!!

We made dinner before putting it together. Tonight's recipe is Parmesan Crusted Tilapia, cheddar biscuits (like from Red Lobster) and cheddar and broccoli rice. Derek was in charge of the biscuits and I made the Tilapia. Once the food was in the oven cooking, we went into the living room to put her jumperoo together. He was in charge of all of it... and I put the seat together.

The timer for our food went off, so we finished the food. Bailey woke up from her nap, and we put her in it. She immediately loved it. She's bouncing and playing in it like crazy.

One of Bailey's milestones today::
She's saying "Dada" now. (She has been for a few days now, but she finally repeated me and said it.) It's so adorable.

Sunday Funday.

Our Sunday was fairly productive. We woke up and Derek made pancakes. I made him some eggs. It was a good breakfast. We did our usual routine with Bailey. Diaper change. Feed. So on and so forth. Then we went and got ready (and waited for Bailey to wake up.) We had planned to go to Wal Mart and to Commissary to get baby food and formula. When she finally woke up, we left. We got to WalMart and for the first time in forever.... they had her formula!!! It was amazing.


We also decided yesterday that it's officially time to proceed with Step 1 of BabyProofing the Wilcox household. We bought outlet plugs so that our crawler doesn't electrocute herself. We got her formula, got the outlet covers and we bought a baby gate. Well... Turns out that our house is retarded. The baby gate can't go anywhere. So that will be fun for me. Bailey sat in the shopping cart like a big girl again. It's so amazing to think about how quickly she's growing up.


Then we went to the commissary for her baby food. The parking lot was full, and people around here are stupid so we parked semi-far out in the parking lot. We got in there---which was a hassle. And we went to the baby-food aisle. We got home and started putting the formula away. Derek was handing me some cans (I was on the floor putting them in the cupboard).... and one fell on my nose. It really hurt. It was an accident and he felt bad about it.


Derek and I started playing Wii Sports Resort. We decided we wanted to order Mexican food. So around 5 we fed Bailey some of her turkey and sweet potatoes, then waited for our food to get here. Unfortunately, Derek didn't really like what he ordered... I felt bad. But he got full. I got really full.


We put Bailey on the floor so she could crawl around and she has been climbing on things lately. Well...At one point she climbed and fell. Then hit her head. I didn't see it because I was in the kitchen, but I heard it and her crying made me feel the worst. I was so scared she was really hurt, but she was okay.... Considering. But she's doing fine now. She just needed some love from Mommy and Daddy.


**OH!!** Another thing she did today!! Lately she's been slipping "Dada" into all of her babbling!! Maybe it won't be much longer until she's saying Dada. I love my Beanie Baby Bailey.


Daddy and I are relaxing and watching How I Met Your Mother and will probably end our night early. I'm sad the weekend is already over.

I love napping :)

It seems like as every day passes, Bailey gets heavier and heavier. Random, but just sayin'.

Today, we woke up and we were going to go to WalMart shortly after, but Derek and I wanted Miss Bailey to take a nap first. So she did. We went into our room and ended up taking a 3 hour nap, too. It was nice. Derek usually doesn't like napping but today we did. I really enjoyed it. 

Once Bails woke up and we all god ready, we went to WalMart for the things we didn't get yesterday at Kroger. We finally found a Jenny Jump Up. Derek was so happy. He's wanted Bailey to have once since before she was born. The crappy thing is.... it won't work with any of the doorways in our house. So we're going to return it. 

Bailey definitely needed a nap around 6:30, so Derek and I started making dinner. Derek made his good burgers. I like when he cooks dinner. The burgers were very good. We even have some left over for lunch tomorrow. Around 7:30 or so, we woke her up and the grown-ups had a cake shake. She played for a little while, then Daddy got her some squash and pears. She ate all of both foods. Then she had a small ba-ba and I gave her a bath. She's been in bed since then. She's such a good baby. Every day I see her and Derek together I fall  in love over and over again.

Friday the 13th.

Bailey, Mommy and Daddy had a long day. Derek woke up at the usual time and went to PT. He got home later than usual and was soaking wet and told me he had to set up a tent. He also told me he had to report at 9:30 for this organization thing. And he thought family was invited, but wasn't sure. So he went and I stayed home for a while, then he sent me a text asking if I wanted to go. Well duh. I'm so tired of being stuck at home all the time now. It gets old.

So I got ready, got Bailey ready and he got home right when she was ready to go. We got there and Derek showed me his office and introduced Bailey and me to his co-workers. Everyone was saying how cute and adorable Bailey is. Yeah, we know we have a cute baby. We hear it all the time. We sat at Derek's desk for a while but some chick he works with was there... so I felt kinda awkward. We ended up going outside for a while. Some guy who I met in December came up to us and started talking to Derek. He irritated me in December and he still irritates me now. Holly would know what I mean and who I'm talking about. Anyways.. then some cookout thing went on. We took our food back up to his office and I was glad when I saw she was gone. We proceeded to eat our lunch. I gave Bailey some bread. She enjoys eating big girl food.

After that we went back outside and stood there with a bunch of other retards. We went back up to his office, then sat there waiting for everyone to be released. Bailey had a bottle and fell asleep in my arms in the meantime. She was tired. There was a little boy running around and he was semi-irritating. He was just being a kid... I can definitely wait until Bailey is at that stage. I'm not looking forward to that. Hopefully I have more patience when that time rolls around. 

Once we were able to leave, we decided to go home for the grocery list and we were going to go to Vehicle Registration so we could get the stickers for our new car. The one we were going to go to was closed. So we had to go to one by Gate 4. It's usually packed in there. Bailey and i were in the car for a while. She started grunting and screaming... then I could smell poop. So I changed her in the car. She sat on my lap and played with the steering wheel. Then Derek came out with our stickers. He put them on and we went home for our list. I printed it, and came back out then we went to Kroger. We did 2 weeks worth of grocery shopping. I feel accomplished that I actually did a meal plan for once. Unfortunately, I forgot the Kroger card. It's always something with me. So we didn't save as much money as we wanted to. It's stupid. Sometime this week I have to go back to Kroger to get Bailey some formula and baby food. 

Derek and I put our Beanie Baby to bed and we're catching up on some of our recorded TV shows. I hope everyone has a good weekend. :)
